How to sew a sleeve slit opening?

If you're like me, you probably have difficulty remembering which way to sew the sleeve slit opening. So I've prepared a little step-by-step tutorial to help you!

Happy sewing!

First, place the right side of the slit on the back side of the sleeve. The shorter part of the slit towards the back of the sleeve.

Sew the opening of the slit as shown on the above drawing. Then cut the center and end with a V shaped cut.

With the iron, fold all the blue lines.

Turn the slit onto the front side of the sleeve through the opening. Then place it naturally, as you ironed it before, to make it nice, and to be similar to the result.

Focus on the small part first and stitch the top.

Then topstitch the small part of the slit opening.

Fold the big part so it looks finished then fold the top of the opening and iron it flat.

Then you just need to topstitch the big part of the slit opening and you are done!
